Once you've created a particularly notable article, you can announce it to your followers by clicking the "Announce to followers" button under the article page.
Once clicked, this will send an email with a link to the article to all your followers. You can also optionally add a short message to the announcement to help your followers know why it was announced.
In order to reduce the risk of spam and going over email quotas, the following restrictions are in place:
- you can only announce each article once
- each user can only announce up to 5 articles in the last 30 days. Each user can check their quotas under the user settings page.
